About Me

My Journey

My name is Xolane Shabalala, and I come from the town of Dannhauser in KwaZulu-Natal. I completed my Matric at Mana High School in 2018, where I built a strong academic foundation and developed an interest in problem-solving and analytical thinking.

In 2019, I enrolled at Tshwane University of Technology, pursuing a National Diploma in Information Technology: Multimedia. This phase of my journey allowed me to combine technology with creativity, focusing on web development, graphic design, multimedia production, and user experience. I successfully completed the theoretical component of my studies in 2023.

To further strengthen my technical skills and stay aligned with emerging technologies, I completed an 8-week online course in Artificial Intelligence Career Essentials in 2024.

In January 2025, I entered the professional IT environment as an IT Technician at MTN, hired through ICT Choice in Midrand. During this role, I gained hands-on experience in technical support, system troubleshooting, and assisting end users with hardware and software-related challenges.

From April 2025 to December 2025, I worked as a Software Developer at ICEP. I contributed to two major development projects:

• Project One: Worked as a Front-End Developer and UI/UX Designer, building responsive and user-friendly interfaces using React.
• Project Two: Worked as a Full-Stack Developer, using React for the front end and C# ASP.NET with MS SQL Server for the back end.

I am passionate about creating clean, efficient, and visually appealing digital solutions. I thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy continuous learning, and aim to contribute meaningfully to innovative and impactful technology-driven projects.
